Privacy Policy

Forge Merge Tavern · Last updated: September 9, 2026

Forge Merge Tavern is a merge puzzle game. This policy explains what information the game and its services handle, on both the Android app and the web version. The short version: you can play the whole game without an account, and we never sell your data.

Data we do not collect

• No account is required and none is created — no name, email address, or password is collected by the game itself.
• No advertising identifiers are read on the web version, and the web version shows no ads.
• No third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no cross-app profiling, and no sale or rental of personal data to anyone.

Game progress

Your save (gold, level, board contents, settings, and similar game data) is stored locally on your device or in your browser's storage. The game is fully playable offline.

On Android, you may optionally sign in with Google Play Games to back up your save. If you do, your save is stored by Google as a "saved game" attached to your Google account, under Google's privacy policy. We never receive a copy of your save on our own servers.

Achievements and leaderboards (Android)

If you sign in with Google Play Games, achievements and leaderboard scores are handled by Google Play Games services. We send Google your lifetime gold score and achievement events. Your Play Games display name may appear publicly to players who view the leaderboards. You can manage or delete this data through your Google Play Games profile settings.

Hall of Renown (web version)

The web version has an optional global leaderboard. It works without accounts: your browser is assigned a random identifier stored locally, and nothing is posted to the leaderboard unless you choose to sign it with a display name. If you do, we store:

• the random identifier (not connected to your identity),
• the display name you typed (up to 24 characters), and
• your lifetime gold total.

Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by the platform: Google Play Billing on Android and Stripe on the web. We never see or store your payment card details. To restore purchases on a new device or browser, our servers store a minimal record per purchase: the order identifier, the product identifier (for example "Remove Ads"), and the time of purchase — associated only with a random per-device identifier. This cannot be linked back to who you are.

Advertising (Android only)

The Android version shows rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob. Ads play only when you choose to watch one. Google, as the ad provider, may collect the advertising identifier on your device and related device data under Google's advertising policies. Purchasing "Remove Ads" permanently stops all ads in the game.

Permissions

• Internet — cloud saves, leaderboards, purchases, and ads.
• Vibration — optional haptic feedback in the game.
• Advertising ID — read by Google AdMob for rewarded ads (Android only).

Children

Forge Merge Tavern is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and deleting your data

• Local save: clear the app's data (Android) or your browser storage (web) to erase it.
• Cloud save and achievements (Android): manage them through your Google Play Games profile, or simply play signed out.
• Hall of Renown entry (web): email us and we will remove it.
• Purchase records: email us and we will delete the record; note that purchase restoration will no longer work for that order.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, show a notice inside the game.
